Hey there, I’m Emily
It’s great to meet you!
I’m a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach and I’m passionate about working with women who want to feel vibrant, healthy, strong and balanced, but are struggling to form lasting health and wellness habits.
I partner with you to help you create health and wellness habits with more ease that hold up when things get busy. I call this your vital routine.
I bring my health coach training, past experience working in healthcare, interest in neuroscience, and personal health journey to my coaching practice to provide a warm, welcoming space where you’re guided and supported in creating a lasting routine that moves you toward a vibrant future.
Through our work together, we’ll discover what your personalized path is to forming habits that fit seamlessly into your day. The habits that will support you in showing up as the balanced, energetic, and strong person you want to be for yourself and others so you can move through life with more ease, flow, and joy and wake up feeling happy, healthy, and relaxed, looking forward to the day ahead.
My Journey…
My own health and wellness journey really took off in 2012 when I was diagnosed with several autoimmune conditions.
I knew it was important to get into regular routines with exercise, nutrition, sleep, stress management, and taking time for myself, but I felt overwhelmed with everything going on in my life.
There were just too many things to get done each day between my work as a physical therapist, taking care of my family, and everything else.
I had no clue how to fit it all in, but I had a deep desire to take the time out of my day to spend on myself.
My attempts often ended in disappointment as week after week passed without getting into the consistent wellness habits I was striving for.
The whole process felt energy draining, the exact opposite of how I wanted to feel.
I took a step back and realized I was trying to power through on motivation and willpower alone which, for me and many others, is a difficult path to lasting habits.
I threw myself into researching habit change. I enrolled in a health coach training program and learned evidence-based techniques to help people form lasting habits.
I learned there are certain ways to approach habit change that actually work with the brain and not against it.
When I started to implement these approaches in my own life, forming habits became easier and felt lighter. Not only did the way I performed my habits change, but my whole mindset around my habits and wellness transformed.
I didn’t realize it at the time, but I was creating a vital routine that powered my life. I started to wake up feeling energized, focused, stronger, and happier. I was better able to handle stress and I was showing up in my life with more ease, flow, and balance. Everything changed for the better – my health, my relationships, my outlook on life.
I’m now grateful to bring all of this experience together in my coaching practice to help guide others on this journey as they uncover their own paths forward and create their personalized vital routines to become their most happy and healthy selves.
